San Teodoro


San Teodoro offers lots of small beaches surrounded by granite cliffs framed by fragrant maquis. San Teodoro is famous, not only for the sea but also for being a tourist locality for young people. There are lots young people who spend their summer vacation in San Teodoro in hotels, apartments and holiday homes in the town. The locality today is synonymous of fun in Sardinia.
Another feature of the territory of San Teodoro, delimited by Capo Ceraso to the North and Punta Isuledda to the South, is the presence of ponds, lagoons, marshes and swamps where colonies of birds find shelter. The lagoon of San Teodoro is the most famous.
The beaches of San Teodoro: The beach of La Cinta is the most famous and popular of San Teodoro. It is characterized by a white and fine sand. The C-shaped beach has a length of approximately 4.5 km. The beach of Cala d'Ambra is located near the hill of Lu Casteddu and it is characterized by the presence of pebbles and famous for sport fishing. The beach of Isuledda is characterized by thin and candid sand. The sea is known for the blue-green water with wonderful transparencies. The beach of Punta ldia is the extention of the beach La Cinta. The beach of Cala Brandinchi is certainly one of the most known of the coast. It attracts many boats every day which anchor in its beautiful waters to enjoy the color of this turquoise sea or lie down in its fine sand. The beach of Coda Cavallo with its white sand is characterized by the presence of sand dunes where junipers grow. Punta Molara that overlooks the islands of Molara and Tavolara is one of the most evocative areas of the territory of San Teodoro. The beach of Cala Ghjlglu is surrounded by rocky promontories and its surroundings are coves enclosed by pink granite rocks which often take picturesque forms such as the famous "Turtle".
