Holidays in Costa Rei

Located in the territory of Sarrabus Gerrei, Costa Rei, the maritime fraction of Muravera, is one of the most famous localities in Sardinia. Almost uninhabited during the winter, in the summer it is destination for many Italian and foreign tourists. Its beautiful beaches and pristine bays are characterized by profumed Mediterranean bushes that surrounds them. In addition to the beautiful beaches Costa Rei is famous for the bays of rocks and cliffs. There is a total of 45 kilometers of beaches and coasts. The most famous beach is in the town of Costa Rei itselft with more than 8 km long. From Costa Rei is possible to hire a boat to visit the island of Serpentara and the island of Cavoli. For those who are not satisfied with the sea the area offers wildlife oasis of great natural interest. For those who want to associate to the sea historical and archaeological visits there are a lot of nuraghi, Tombs of Giants and Menhir to visit in the territory.
The locality is divided in the tourist areas of Sa Murta in the centre, I Ginepri in the south, to the north Rei Plaia, Turagri, I Ginestre, Gli Asfodeli, Sa Perda Niedda, Rei Marina. Completing the village, there are three squares: Piazza Marina Rei, Piazza Italia, Piazza Sardinia which during the summer nights are animated and full of entertainment for tourists.
